I'm too cheap to buy a Frommers...

I'm driving to New Mexico next week with my best friend. She's been having some health problems and going on numerous doctors appointments and tests, and I've been feeling kind of blue lately so it'll be a nice break for both of us. A bunch of my friends from college will be meeting up for the Balloon Festival, but the two of us will be driving out a few days before to look around.

Anyone have any suggestions on things to see?

I have never been there before...but I love hot air balloons, that would be cool to see. Hope it's a great trip.

I sure hope your friend finds her way through her health problems and is better soon.
